Educational Wine tasting
to benefit CACJ (Center for Alternatives in Community Justice).
Sunday, October 18

Enjoy a tasting of a variety of fruit dessert wines, including some special surprises!
Sample a variety of food pairings, including desserts, chocolate delights.
Logan Dashline, Phd., winemaker at Happy Valley Wines, will present.
There will be a silent auction as well. If you are able to donate an auction item, please tell us when reserving!
LeDon Young will lead a hall tour following the tasting.

BASIC MEDIATION TRAINING
The hands-on training will give you a chance to learn and practice mediation skills. You will learn a specific mediation process that will teach you to support people and help solve issues. The course focuses on family, neighbor, workplace, roommate and small claims issues. It includes Communication Skills, Confidentiality, Mediator Ethics, Application of the Process, Self-assessment and Special Circumstances.
A Certificate of Completion for hours attended is provided.
Location/times: September 21, 22, 23 2018 8:30-5:00 each day.

Cost: $400, payable to CACJ, at above address
This program has been approved by the Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education Board for 19.5 hours of substantive law and 1.5 hours of ethics, professionalism or substance abuse CLE credits.
Trainers:
Bonnie Millmore has been Executive Director of CACJ since 1984. She has been a mediator since then and a trainer since 1988. She was a mediator and trainer for the PA Dept of Education Office of Dispute Resolution for 15 years. She is designated as the primary custody mediator for the Centre County Court of Common Pleas through CACJ. She was a trainer for Penn State’s Justice and Safety Institute and Human Resource Development Center for 5 years. She holds a B.S. from Millersville University and a M.S. in Habilitative Services from Clarion University.
Evelyn Wald holds an M.S. in Counseling, and a Masters of Divinity. She is past District Court Mediation Program Coordinator for CACJ. She has mediated custody and other types of cases through CACJ’s program since1994, and has been a trainer for CACJ since 1997. She was an Instructor for Centre County’s Mandated Education for Divorced and Separated Parents for 10 years. She is a PA Professional Licensed Counselor with CHOICES.
Registration and payment by September 12th. Space is limited. Cancellations after this date will result in a 75% refund. Requests for further information should be addressed to above contacts.
